Tour Overview
Spend four days photographing the birdlife of Keoladeo National Park (Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary), a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of India's richest wetland habitats. Mid-February is winter in Rajasthan: cool, misty mornings with resident and migratory birds at their most active.
The park's flat terrain and cycle-rickshaw access put you at eye level with the birds, and a small group means real one-to-one mentoring. Whether you shoot DSLR, mirrorless or a bridge camera, you will leave with stronger images and a clearer workflow.
Led by Sreejith, wildlife photographer and founder of SreejithCaptures, this intimate small-group mentorship pairs field coaching with daily image reviews so every outing builds your confidence and your portfolio.
By the end of this mentorship, you will learn:
✓ How to photograph birds in flight and in action
✓ How to expose and focus for fast-moving subjects
✓ How to shoot at eye level for intimate wetland frames
✓ How to work owls and raptors in low early-morning light
✓ How to build habitat and storytelling compositions
✓ How to cull and edit your strongest images
This Experience Is Perfect For:
✓ Bird photographers and birders of all levels
✓ Beginners wanting structured, one-on-one mentoring
✓ DSLR, mirrorless and bridge camera users
Not suitable for:
✗ Large tourist groups

Why this group format

The mentor rotates between vehicles across drives, so everyone gets direct field coaching — and there is always a strong naturalist in the other vehicle.
About
Keoladeo National Park hosts hundreds of bird species, including painted storks, sarus cranes, owls, kingfishers, pelicans, herons, eagles and many winter migrants. Which species show up on a given day depends on the season and the water levels, so the mentorship focuses on fieldcraft, light and technique that work with whatever the park offers. Topics include bird behaviour, exposure and focusing for birds in motion, composition and storytelling, habitat photography, and ethical wildlife photography practices.
