About
Jim Corbett is India's oldest national park, and Dhikala is its crown jewel — a grassland-and-sal-forest zone deep inside the reserve where very few visitors are ever allowed to stay overnight. This expedition puts you right in the heart of it, at the Dhikala Forest Rest House campus, so you are already inside the park when the light is at its best.
Over the trip you will run seven safaris across the Jhirna and Dhikala zones, sharing a single Gypsy with just your group and your mentor. The pace is built around photography, not sightseeing: early starts for first light, daily image reviews between drives, and in-field coaching on settings, tracking and composition so every safari builds both your confidence and your portfolio.
By the end of this expedition, you will learn:
✓ How to photograph tigers and elephants in changing forest and grassland light
✓ How to choose settings for a still, walking or charging subject
✓ How to shoot sharp images from a moving Gypsy
✓ How to anticipate behaviour and position for the shot
✓ How to compose storytelling frames in Corbett's grasslands
✓ How to cull and edit your strongest images
This Experience Is Perfect For:
✓ Wildlife photographers of all levels
✓ Photographers wanting a rare overnight stay inside Dhikala
✓ Anyone wanting personal, in-field guidance
Not suitable for:
✗ Large tourist groups
✗ Sightseeing-only safaris
Spotlight
Dhikala is one of the only places in Corbett where you can sleep inside the forest, waking up already in tiger country. Add seven safaris, a private Gypsy and daily mentoring, and you have one of the most productive tiger-photography setups in India.
