Tour Overview
Photograph wild Bengal tigers in Panna Tiger Reserve, set along the Ken River in Madhya Pradesh, with dramatic gorges, dry deciduous forest and open plateau that make a different backdrop from the better-known tiger parks. Panna is also known as a conservation comeback story, with its tiger population rebuilt through a reintroduction programme.
Early June is hot and the forest is dry, which draws animals to water. Expect early starts and a lot of heat. This small-group mentorship is limited to three photographers. Sightings are never guaranteed, so the trip focuses on learning to read the landscape, anticipate behaviour and shoot well in demanding light.
Led by Sreejith, wildlife photographer and founder of SreejithCaptures, this intimate small-group mentorship pairs field coaching with daily image reviews so every outing builds your confidence and your portfolio.
By the end of this mentorship, you will learn:
✓ How to photograph tigers in harsh, contrasty light
✓ How to choose settings for a walking vs. running tiger
✓ How to anticipate behaviour and position for the shot
✓ How to compose 'tiger in its landscape' storytelling frames
✓ How to cull and edit your strongest images
This Experience Is Perfect For:

About
Panna Tiger Reserve combines forest, grassland, gorges and the Ken River, giving varied photographic settings beyond classic tiger portraits. Along with tigers, the reserve is home to leopards, sloth bears, gharial, vultures and a good range of birds. Safari zones and timings are set by the forest department, so the trip is planned around several drives to improve your chances of good light and good sightings, with daily reviews and evening editing sessions in between.
