Tour Overview

Photograph wild Bengal tigers in Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve at the best time of year for sightings. In May the forest dries out and animals depend on the remaining waterholes, which tends to improve tiger sightings for photographers willing to work the heat. It is hot, with early starts and sunscreen to match, but the reward is some of the most active wildlife of the year.

This intimate small-group mentorship is limited to three photographers. Sightings are never guaranteed, so the trip is built around learning how to read the forest, anticipate behaviour and make the most of whatever the light and the animals offer.

Led by Sreejith, wildlife photographer and founder of SreejithCaptures, this intimate small-group mentorship pairs field coaching with daily image reviews so every outing builds your confidence and your portfolio.

By the end of this mentorship, you will learn:
✓ How to photograph tigers in low, contrasty forest light
✓ How to choose settings for a walking vs. running tiger
✓ How to anticipate behaviour and position for the shot
✓ How to compose 'tiger in its forest' storytelling frames
✓ How to cull and edit your strongest images

This Experience Is Perfect For:
✓ Wildlife photography beginners
✓ Enthusiasts stepping up from hobby photography
✓ Photographers wanting a tiger safari with personal coaching
✓ Anyone wanting in-field guidance

Not suitable for:
✗ Large tourist groups
✗ Sightseeing-only safaris

  • ✓Tiger stronghold
  • ✓Peak summer waterhole action
  • ✓Daily editing mentorship
  • ✓Private photography jeep
  • ✓Max 3 photographers

About

Tadoba, in Maharashtra, is one of India's most rewarding tiger reserves, with a mix of teak forest, bamboo, lakes and meadows. Safari zones are allotted by the forest department rather than chosen, which is why the trip is built around multiple safaris across several days. More drives give you more chances for the light, the pose and a good zone to line up. Between drives, daily image reviews and evening editing sessions help you lock in what you learned.

      Why travel with Sreejith Captures?

A mentorship, not just a tour

Hi, I'm Sreejith. I'll be with you throughout this mentorship — helping you master camera settings, composition, wildlife behaviour and post-processing. My goal isn't just to help you photograph wildlife; it's to help you become a better wildlife photographer, and to leave with images you're genuinely proud of.

      Frequently Asked Questions

Is this tour suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. This is a hands-on mentorship built for beginners and enthusiasts alike. You don't need prior experience — if you can bring your camera and your curiosity, I'll guide you through settings, composition and reading wildlife behaviour in the field.
What camera gear do I need?
A DSLR or mirrorless camera with a telephoto lens (roughly 200mm and above; a 100–400mm is ideal) covers most situations. If you're unsure what to bring or want to rent something, message me before the trip and I'll help you choose.
      How physically demanding is it?
It's comfortable for most fitness levels. Most photography happens from an open safari jeep during game drives, so there's no long trekking involved. Expect early starts to catch the best light — that's the main demand.
      What's included in the price?
Accommodation, meals, in-park transport, expert guiding, park and conservancy fees, and daily photography mentoring with personal image review. See the "Includes" section above for the full list. International flights, visa and travel insurance are not included.
Can I get a private room?
Yes. Rooms are shared by default, but a private/single room (if available) can be booked for a 10% supplement — just select it when you book.
How do I reserve my place and pay?
You can secure your spot online with a 25% deposit and pay the balance before the tour. Paying the full amount upfront is also available at checkout. Payments are handled through a secure gateway.
      How big is the group?
Deliberately small — this trip is capped at 3 photographers. Keeping the group tight means everyone gets genuine personal mentoring, a clear line of sight at every sighting, and room to work — not a crowded bus.
What if I need to cancel?
Life happens — if your plans change, get in touch with me directly and I'll do my best to work with you. Cancellation specifics are covered in the Terms & Conditions.
