Tour Overview
Experience the world-renowned Masai Mara through the eyes of a wildlife photographer. This exclusive small-group mentorship is designed for beginners and enthusiasts who want to improve their photography while watching Africa's wildlife in one of its most productive reserves. Learn camera settings, composition, wildlife behaviour and storytelling in the field, with personalised guidance on every game drive.
This is a resident-wildlife departure, not a Great Migration trip. January is a quieter season in the Mara: fewer vehicles, green landscapes after the short rains, and the big cats, elephants and plains game that live here year-round.
Led by Sreejith, wildlife photographer and founder of SreejithCaptures, this intimate small-group mentorship pairs field coaching with daily image reviews so every outing builds your confidence and your portfolio.
By the end of this mentorship, you will learn:
✓ How to photograph fast-moving wildlife
✓ How to choose camera settings in unpredictable situations
✓ How to anticipate animal behaviour
✓ How to compose powerful wildlife stories
✓ How to select and edit your best images
This Experience Is Perfect For:
✓ Wildlife photography beginners
✓ Enthusiasts upgrading from hobby photography
✓ Photographers wanting their first African safari
✓ Anyone wanting personal guidance in the field
Not suitable for:
✗ Large group tourists
✗ People looking for a sightseeing safari only
- ✓Big cat country
- ✓Resident wildlife, fewer vehicles
- ✓Daily in-field mentoring
- ✓Private safari vehicle
- ✓Max 4 photographers
Why this group format
Never more than 4 photographers per vehicle — a clean shooting position every drive.
About
The Masai Mara offers one of the finest wildlife photography experiences on Earth. During this mentorship you will photograph lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, buffalo, giraffes, zebras and countless bird species from a specially selected safari vehicle. With daily in-field coaching, image reviews and practical tips, you will learn not only how to capture beautiful wildlife images but also how to anticipate behaviour and tell a visual story. Sightings can never be guaranteed, which is why the trip is built around learning craft rather than chasing a single animal. Group size is capped at four so every participant gets individual attention.
